NEW SWIMMER ASSESSMENT FOR 2011-2012

ROCS assesses all new swimmers to ensure appropriate group placement based on age, ability and interest. To register for an assessment with ROCS at the Carleton University pool, contact rocswimming@gmail.com or call our office at (613) 727-3344. Visit How to Find Us for directions to the Carleton University pool.

When and Where

New swimmer assessments will take place, by appointment only. To make an appointment, please call us at (613) 727-3344 (Monday through Thursday between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm) or email rocswimming@gmail.com. A $5.00 fee will apply or $10 if the swimmer wishes to stay for a full practice. (This latter option available only from September on).

We are located at the Carleton University pool. Assessments take approximately 15 minutes.

You can arrange for an assessment on several occasions as follows:

April 30, 2012: 6-7:15 pm

May 1-3, 2012: 6-7:15 pm

  • By appointment after these dates

Please book your assessment early to ensure the apporpriate group placement for your swimmer, as the programs fill up early.

What to Bring

Please print this assessment form, fill it out and bring to the pool along with the $5 assessment fee. ($10 if the swimmer stays for a full practice (full practices are available only in September or later). Cash or cheque made payable to ROCS are accepted. Swimmers should bring suit, goggles and towel. Coaches and club administrators will be available for questions. Please check in at the Control Desk and tell them you’re here for a Ravens of Carleton Swim Club try-out.

Once your swimmer has completed their assessment and has been placed in a group, and after you have made the decision to join the ROCS program, you must go online and complete the registration. Please see the registration page for information on how to complete the registration process and secure your swimmer’s spot in the program.

Please do not wear street shoes on the pool deck.
